Whether you are a team member or thinking of joining us,
you’ll find Colyton a great club with good facilities and a great atmosphere.

About Us

Colyton Youth Football Club is affiliated to Devon F.A. We are an F.A. Chartered Standard Club

The FA Charter Standard programme is a kitemark, which recognises and rewards high quality levels of provision in club and league football. The kitemark is awarded to clubs and leagues that are well run, sustainable, which place child protection, quality coaching and safety paramount.

The FA Charter Standard kitemark was launched in 2001 and now has 6800 clubs, with 653 advanced level Community Clubs and 300 leagues. The kitemark is a major focus of The FA’s £200 million FA National Game Strategy and has improved coaching, the number of girls’ football teams and safeguarding children.

There are three levels of FA Charter Standard Awards for clubs to recognise the different standards. The entry level is an ‘FA Charter Standard Club’, the next level is an ‘FA Charter Standard Development Club’ and the most advanced ‘FA Charter Standard Community Club’. Each advanced level requires additional criteria to be met.

Club Policies

Colyton Youth Football is part of the Exeter Youth League and abides by their rules outlined in the Exeter Youth Handbook.
The Club prides itself on offering affordable training fees to encourage children to be able to participate.
All Colyton Youth players must be registered through us with the FA and have a FAN (ID card) in order to be able to participate in matches in the Exeter League.
All our managers are CRB checked and undertake FA coaching.
A major part of the club's ethos is respect and we encourage all our players and managers to create a good atmosphere by having the right attitude while playing and respect their team mates, coaches and the teams they play against. See http://www.thefa.com/my-football/player/respect.
